Eighty Agricultural Sciences students taking rural experience in Villages

The Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) of Final Year Students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture commenced from16 August, 2022. The RAWE program is part of the Student READY (Rural and Entrepreneurship Awareness Development Yojana) program launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 25th July, 2015. The program includes Experiential Learning (EL), Rural Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), In Plant Training/ Industrial Attachment and Hands-on Training (HOT) / Skill Development Training. The components are interactive and are conceptualized for building skills in project development and execution, decision-making, individual and team coordination, approach to problem solving, accounting, quality control, marketing and resolving conflicts, etc. with end to end approach.

RAWE enables the students to gain rural experience giving them confidence and enhancing on-farm problem solving abilities in real life situations especially in contact with farmers, growers, other stakeholders. The students are placed in seven villages of Gurugram district namely Dhanawas, Khera Khurrampur, Khaintawas, Farrukhnagar, Kherki Majra, Daboda and Patli. Eighty students will remain attached with the villages for than two months.
