In the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Agronomy Laboratory is well equipped with instruments viz; Flame photometer, oven, auger, spectrometer, Moisture meter, Rain gauge, Electronic weighing balances, exhaust, chemicals (reagents) and lab furniture. Hence the Lab provides all necessary and safety equipment to perform wide range of work to summed up as a complete crop doctor lab. The lab is capable of determining the nutrient status in soil, plant, water testing, chlorophyll content, protein/ quality parameter to judge the health and growth of crop plant as well as for conducting the field experiments. In addition to agronomy, practices related to soil sciences are also performed which included soil testing for macro and micronutrients, water testing, pH estimation, etc. The lab also consists of field equipment used for collection of soil samples from different agro-ecological zones. The lab also maintains soil samples from nearby locality for studying various chemical and physical properties of soils.
