From time immerorial, the human civilisation has been relying on the rearing of animals for either domestication or commercial purposes, and this has constituted on of the largest source of income worldwide. The Faculty of Agriculture offers a 3 year diploma program in animal husbandry which endevours to provide students with the most enriching expertise which is essential for ensuring the wellbeing, growth and reproduction of animals. Agriculture maintains a position of great social and ecumenic significance towards ensuring the welfare and development of the society, while at the same time maintaining the livelihood of the people. This field provides to the students an exposure to important aspects of the course which include Animal Nutrition, Animal Physiology, Genetics & Animals Breeding, Livestock Production & Management and Population Genetics. The Faculty of Agriculture is equipped with expert agriculture faculties and academic resources who go on to play the pivotal of guiding the students towards a path of sound agricultural expertise. During the course of this program, the students are further taught the various ways and mechanisms of raising livestock, looking after domestic animals, raising meat, fibre, milk, eggs, and other products. Upon the completion of the program, this field provides the students with the most enriching exposure to numerous aspects of industry.
