Educational Visit to “Festival of Innovation”
An educational visit to “Festival of Innovation 2017,” New Delhi was organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences for the students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture on 8th March, 2017. In all there were 55 participants including faculty members. In the Festival of Innovations there were array of innovative projects by different universities and colleges. These included models related to biosciences, agriculture and medical sciences. A lot of plant varieties of different crops were also displayed. The group also caught the opportunity to visit the famous Mughal Garden, in which the Main Garden, Ring Garden, Herbal Garden and Bonsai Garden were the centre of attraction. There were more than 70 varieties of seasonal flowers including exotic, bulbous and winter flowering plants. The group had a fascinating time in Herbal Garden which housed vivid varieties of herbs. In Bonsai Garden there was lot of species of Ficus. The visit was good opportunity to pick up innovative ideas by the group. It was a great experience for the students.
