A Kisan Goshthi (Farmers’ congregation) was organized on 6th December, 2018 at village Jori-Sampka, Gurgaon, Haryana under the theme “Kisan Uday Se Bharat Uday” by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Mass Communication & Media Technology, SGT University, Gurgaon regarding use of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Media Awareness on fake and real news. Approximately 55 farmers participated in the programme. Experts from FAS, Dr. K.R. Dabur, Dean; Dr. S.S. Sharma, Professor; Assistant Professors; Dr. Mohinder Yadav, Dr. N.K. Tiwari, Dr. Pooja Pant, shared detailed information in their respective specialities with the participating farmers. The main domain of the discussion were soil health, organic farming, IPM practices and major trends in future agriculture. The farmers took great interest in all areas of agriculture. The audience was so excited with the information quality that they requested to repeat the event on . . . . . . regular basis in their villages.
