Bhawna Kalra Associate professor of Genetics is with SGT University since 1 st
August 2023. She completed her master and doctorate degree in Genetics in 2010. She completed a Post-Doctoral research at the University of Haifa, Israel where she investigated Respirometry and Biochemistry under desiccation stress in Insects. As an independent Principal Investigator, she managed two Government funded research projects: (DBT, BioCare, Woman scientist research project, New Delhi) and UCOST Project (Uttarakhand Government) titled “Effect of caffeinated and medicinal plant extracts on the development of Drosophila insect pests and their role in Post-harvest management.& quot; She has published 17 Research article in SCI journals and 5 in non-SCI journals and 5 book chapters. Her other credentials includes, International travel grant to present article in Marsellies, France, CSIR(SRF, RA), Krishi Gaurav Education Award for Outstanding Faculty in Agriculture Education, Reviewer and Editor of many Science direct Journals.
